I love the gallery. That makes my life a whole lot easier. While I enjoy other people's houses and sims in my game, I don't want the actual other person in my game controlling or changing anything. In fact, most things I download and place into my game from the gallery get small edits from me to them anyways.
A community section or separate server/game for multiplayer, that I could ignore, I could be ok with I guess, as long as it didn't interfere or break my game in any way. That includes getting the updates and bug fixes it needs, that single player doesn't get ignored in favour of the multiplayer.
