Island Living - I love living in a world where you can go swimming on Winterfest
Vampires - because vampires
Get to work - Scientist/Detective ... maybe doctor, never got too far in that career
Jungle Adventures - because Adventure!
Also most other packs for the Build/Buy.
There are 4 premade mermaids currently. None of them will show tail (not even when swimming) unless you play a mermaid yourself, or become friends with them and ask them straight out. To be honest, I was excited for mersims, but found there's really not much I find interesting with them. I play them as any other sim.

Mermaids honestly don't thrill me though, which is one pitfall to Island Living. I don't really want to have occult sims in my game. I have one token alien family in my game, but I never actually play them, and one male sim who currently has an alien toddler via abduction, but honestly that storyline bores me too. I think I might be in the minority when I say I really don't want more magical/supernatural/occult play in my game - at least I save some money because I will probably never get Realm of Magic, Journey to Batuu, or Vampires haha.
Mermaids aren't anything to worry about, they're basically non-existent in the game. I think there's one? premade that's a mermaid but shes a homeless sim that rarely appears and you can only tell she's a mermaid when shes in the ocean. I honestly don't even notice mermaids in my game ever and I've placed quite a few in my world
This. My sims lived in Sulani for 2+ generations. I never saw a mermaid. Maybe some of the sims my sims encountered were mermaids, but there's no way to tell from interacting with them normally.
