Are calico's only female?
The genes for Calicos are on the X chromosomes, and because of that, there need to be two X chromosomes for the cat to be a Calico. Because of that Calicos are almost always female, but in some rare occasions, they can be male. The rare exceptions are when the male cats have a gene mutation and have a second X chromosome along with a Y chromosome for XXY. Or Kleinfelter Syndrome. So super rare. Only 1 in 3000 of these rare male calico cats are fertile, and even then breeders won't let those males copulate.
