- I would say they are worth $3.33 as the three kits combined seem like one stuff pack. Not surprised they're charging more though...
I wonder if kits will be included in build a bundle or anything, I'd be potentially interested in that. Otherwise I'll just wait for a sale. I never buy anything at full price nowadays anyway, sales are so frequent I may as well wait. - LiELFSeasoned AceNow that I've seen the live stream, according to these three specific packs, I'd say the worth is approximately (and I'm trying to be realistic):
CAS Fitness Kit Pack: $2.99
Country Kitchen Kit Pack: $3.99 - $4.99
Dust Busting Kit Pack: $4.99 - $5.99
But pack worth will most likely vary with play style. I like gameplay and CAS the most in general, though I like to have a variety of build/buy to suit my Sims' environment. The only one I'm considering purchasing is the Kitchen one, but I think the best value is the gameplay one and the worst value is the CAS one. - A lot of people are saying that it’s half a stuff pack so it should be half the price, but IMO it’s not half a stuff pack. Most (if not all) stuff packs have 10-15 CAS items, 10-20 BB items, and one or two new & small gameplay elements.
As far as I can tell, kits are tailored to either BB, CAS, or gameplay, with the typical number of new items for that category in a Kit a little smaller than the number of new items for that category in a Stuff Pack. Following that logic, a Kit is actually around third of a stuff pack.
In my country Stuff Packs are $10, so surely a Kit, being a third of the content, should be about $3-4, a third of the price. - Considering that, like the packs, these kits have to be programmed and coded only once by the team and then what one is buying is basically just a copy of the product, I think 4.99$ is way too much.
Each of these kits could have easily been made by 4-5 team members of the team over a single weekend or something. How is that worth 5 bucks for each copy that they sell? They literally put 0 money or effort into making these and all they make is profit. Good for business, bad for the customers.. - I honest dont think kits contain half the content of stuff packs. So they shouldn't be priced as half the amount of a stuff pack.
- marea_a_moonNew Spectator@Calico45 The items for each kit were already found in the game files, if you are interested in knowing what each one contains. They have been posted in one of the threads here about the kits.
- mcruddSeasoned VanguardI am not quite sure cause ours is in Nz dollars. Expansion packs are $50, Game packs are $30 and stuff packs are $15. So I guess it would be $10 for ours.
- nikkiheathcote95New SpectatorI think it could vary in price depending what's in it and how much is in it, definitely not more than £5
- Serendipity0578Seasoned HotshotI'm still not sure about how I feel about the kits in general, but based on the content shown in the leaked photographs, I would not pay more than $1-2 for a kit.
- NateWhiplashSeasoned HotshotI think $5 is fine, but I've looked at all 3 kits, and I see absolutely nothing there that I would want
