I had to really think about this one. I was tempted to go with Evil Alexander being sentenced to life as a merman. As others have said, it would be a fitting punishment. I have a couple of reasons why I think being sent to Davy Jones' Locker is the right course of action but I'll say it brings closure to his threat to Alex and his family.
