Yes, this may seem like a stupid thread idea, but whatever. I've seen weirder things in here. And because many have been complaining about the new The Sims 4 box arts, might as well make this poll to see the results.So yeah. I decided to only use the mainline games for a more faster poll. Seeing them together really brings the worst in the new TS4 covers lolI also really like TS2 covers. Really simple and they always played with the logo like in TS3.

This was hard. Couldn't choose between 2 & 3 but I remember the Sims 3 box art always getting me hyped. There's so much going on and it does a great job at showcasing the many activities included with the pack.Sims 4 (new) is my least favorite. Looks like a magazine design or such. Odd.

I've never played the game, but I quite like the ones from TS1

I actually really love the new designs. But I liked the old too. I like the Sims 4 designs almost the same. After that I like 1 and 2 about the same, at least the second and third packs with 1. I don't like 3's design, it's too cluttered, and tied for last with Sims 1 first pack there (the living large one).

I actually really like the Sims 1 version the best. Maybe it's because it's the game I started with but it just looks really nice.

What Sims era had the best box art design?

I would pick The Sims 3, but I guess I just like that little house that was part of the original logo.
I can't stand the new Sims 4 designs. The color choices are horrible. They should go with this instead.

One of my least favorite games has the best box art in my opinion. Sims 3's box art shows ingame scenes, things I can really make my sims do. Sims 2, Sims 4 old and Sims 4 new only have sims smiling at me, vaguely hinting at gameplay elements. Sims 1 shows a bit of both.

I like the redesign of the new Sims 4 expansions, game packs, and stuff packs. Not sure I like the cover of the game itself though. And I liked the older Sims 4 design. Though I do wish they had gone with a more prominent color for the expansions now. I never played Sims 3, and honestly, those covers are a huge turn off - they're so busy and leave seemingly no mystery. So I voted for Sims 2 because great marketing endures. Something a lot of marketing companies and teams forget.

That's a very good point.
The others are just art with people on it that shows you little to nothing about the game and the world the people live in.

I guess I’m just in love with that classic sims 2 box. I was messing around the other day and found my old sims 2 cases and my sims 3 ones and I got so much nostalgia from the sims 2 ones. I love the sims 3 ones but I just really really really like those sims 2 ones. They are classic and simple.

Personally enjoy all of them. (Wish there was an option for all of them)

Have a soft spot for the first sims game and the big boxes they came in as well.( Though they took up a lot of room on the shelf.) as well as the Sims 2. Not to mention when the manual's back then actually had more than two or three pages (or had a manual at all.) Always so nifty flipping through them while you waited for the game to install. :p

I know boxes are smaller for convenience sake and space, but I can't help but miss a lot of the overly large and weird box shapes from way back then.

TS1 with the stylized silhouettes, like Makin' Magic, or Hot Date. Not really digging Vacation.

My vote was between S1 & S3... Both give you a better idea of what you can do with each pack. Sims 3 is nicely detailed.

Box art doesn’t mean much to me, but I do like The Sims 2’s best. I dig the full-height sims, the silhouette backgrounds, the background colours, and the pack title logos.

The Sims 1 is my second choice.

The Sims 3 looks too busy to me.
