What Skill Do You Like the Least?

For me, it's the handiness skill. I'm always hesitant to have my sims try doing repairs because they have low skill, so I usually have them call the repair service or simply replace the item. When I do let sims repair a sink or a toilet, it makes such a mess! I hate having to tell them to scavenge through the junk and then clean the mess up.

It would sure be nice to have really handy sims who could do upgrades, but I never seem to get them too high with their handiness skill. (I know, I could use cheats, and maybe sometime I will.)

Is there a skill that you don't like?

I have to agree. I don't think a single sim of mine has ever even gained even the beginning of the herbalism skill.
  • Any skill that you don't need for anything else (career/aspiration) and has no actual benefit. Like dancing, singing, dj mixing, etc.

Fishing -- it seems to take so much longer than skills like painting and cooking.

Never thought I'd say this, but Logic is kinda boring in TS4. Maybe because kids don't really build it even if they play chess (ok, Mental skill is probably built from chess), and there are so few obvious ways to build Logic without chess/reading. Not even sure what they use it for, except possibly doing better in school?

I find that the observatory (giant telescope) builds logic really fast, and you have a chance of getting the special space prints to either use as decor or sell to make extra Simoleons (good for my broke Sims). As you get higher in skill you can take microscopic samples of different collectibles, then run those through the microscope to get prints. (I have an arts and science center where I have both the telescope and microscope along with a lot of skill items; I'll send my entire family there and everyone can work on a different skill at the same time, and since they're on the same lot it's easy for me to switch back and forth.)

My least favorite skill is Mischief -- it just feels so mean to me and I don't like to be that mean. That and Herbalism (because it's so tedious) are probably the only two skills I really don't care for; other skills are tedious but I actually do enjoy them more.
  • Charisma because it’s really annoying to build and a ton of careers require it.

Mischief because it’s also annoying to build (my sims keep wandering off from trolling the forums.)

That child social skill because it’s annoying.

Parenting because I hate how you need to be level 6 to check an infant’s needs.

Flower Arranging because it’s really slow to learn and sims hate reading skill books.

Photography is also a pain to raise and I cheat it all the time.
