What to do about Marcus Flex?

I have a strong working theory that the first Sim yours ever interacts with becomes a stalker. :#
I’m reasonably certain the game mechanics are trying to give players the full range of gameplay and so making sure your Sim has some regular contact in the outside world.

I’m playing in Windenberg for the first time and Marcus Flex is Lindsay’s nominated, friendly-neighbourhood stalker. He is constantly turning up outside her home. Now, I know I have the option to send him off with a simple “Send Home” command, but for whatever reasons that just might not be cutting it for me today.
In addition to being unwelcome on the doorstep, Marcus tried to interrupt Lindsays walk with her dog. You know that problem when a Sim stalls because someone clear across the ‘hood wants to chat?? Yeah!
I’m really not usually violent towards Sims, but I feel an urge to kill Marcus off. I’m at least a little bit tempted to make him met with an ‘accident’ of some sort.
Did I mention I think he’s now married to one of the Calenties? Ugh.

What do you think? The question (and point) of the post is “What to do about Marcus Flex?”

I think he stalks you because you are his first friend, if you get more friends and leave other sims alone that you don't want to talk to, then they tend to leave you alone eventually.

Sims who are stopping my played sim because they want to chat is annoying, this is why I play with testingcheats enabled so I can just shift-click on the sim who tries to talk to my sim and reset them. I remember when I played with my sims in Foxbury and for some reason there was always a kid who tried to talk to my sim from across the map.

I just go into "manage households" and delete anyone I don't like, saves time

Yeah, I have a few stalkers in my game too. It is weird the way you keep seeing the same sims hanging around certain other sims.

I say it's time for you to say goodbye to Marcus. Permanently.

The most annoying stalker in my game is Malcolm Landgraab. He will soon be meeting a watery end because he constantly calls Kyle Foreman wanting to hang out. Kyle is a teenager, and when Kyle's mom joins the conversation, Malcolm just stands around doing nothing looking stupid. How they ever got to be friends I do not know. I know he's just pixels, but he looks creepy standing there in the hallway (actually, he's probably watching the tv ;) ). I suppose I could say, oh, he's unhappy at home and is hanging out here wishing his own family was as affectionate and well adjusted as Kyle and his mom. I could do that. I even gave him a chance, but he ignores Kyle's mom, so there is no romance possible there. Instead I have decided that since Malcolm is a) evil, and b) unattractive even after a makeover, his wife is going to off him in their pool. (This whole thing is actually an excuse - I don't like Malcolm)
  • My first Sims 4 playthrough Johnny Zest kept showing up. I didn't understand how neighborhoods work, that he was the only other person who lived in my neighborhood and everyone else is just a walkby, so he just kept visiting. Why was I continuously visited by this blonde wackadoo with the bad jacket?! He was... maybe not so bad. Kind of cute, really. His humor grew on me.

    My sim married him.

It seems you can't do that since he's already married, so I recommend moving him out of the neighborhood or a quick death.
  • Do you remember when the Sims 4 had just come out and people were knocking on your door constantly. Like really every two minutes. I had several sims knock on my door 3 times a day it was crazy.
Nowadays the stalking is more on the phone especially when you have one good friend and you start making other friends and he keeps calling you to tell you how happy he is you made that new friend that is a great person btw. Like you don't even know her, how do you know she's a good person you creepo!

OMG Marcus was totally stalking my Sim yesterday! He called and texted four times and showed up twice at her house within two days! Dude just can’t take no for an answer! He’s in two or three clubs, so he should have other friends to play with. :D

Aww I know he is just pixels but this makes me feel sad for him :(

I did not spell that properly, lol. I meant that the first sim that you talk to, who often becomes your first friend will be the sim who will invite you to events and send you messages on the phone all the time, so they will often become a stalker because the game will just pick him/her all the time, unless you talk and befriend other sims.

You can often see that when James Turner is playing, he does not talk a lot to any other sims so his sims dad is the only one who is contacting him all the time.
