It depends on what styles we get, for right now the silhouette looks pretty traditional. They will come in handy for apartments if you want your sims to have a larger family and great for all the rentals. If we get a modern version I might place one or two at the hospital for the personnel to take quick naps on shifts.
A loft bed would be excellent for tiny living and studio apartments. I think we had them in Sims 3 or maybe it was cc.
