I have Sims living in all the worlds listed, except Brindleton Bay since I don't own C & D, and I just loaded up CL last week so no one lives in San Myshuno yet. I have checked out the Romance Festival, Flea Market and the Karaoke bar near there, but not the apartments.
My go to choice since I bought GT has been the Island in Windenburg. I just love it! It's similar to a beloved Island my husband's relatives have lived on for generations. We go there frequently in the Fall for hunting and stay in a cottage on the coast, but have also went there to do some rustic camping in Summer. I really enjoy the rural area too, both areas are the closest resemblance to where I live, Michigan. Although, we don't have a multitude of snow-capped mountains or any mountains really, except for the Porkies in the U.P.
I think if I had C & D, I'd love Brindleton Bay the most since the coastline looks a lot like the Great Lakes from what I've seen in screenshots. I especially love that lighthouse! Plus, I've seen what looks likes a farm with cows, hay bales and a crop duster flying over the fields inland. I plan to get that EP soon now that I have a decent gaming desktop. :) I would be seriously overjoyed if one day we get a pack with a world that includes areas that look like Midwest rural farm land and small town communities. \o/
I don't know why Newcrest was left out of the poll, I'm sure it was just an oversight, but quite a few of my starting out Sims have lived on the cheapest lots there and I do have a family for the Build Newcrest challenge living there too. It's a nice world because of the reasons so many have already given, it's empty, full of possibilities without having to bulldoze anything. When all I had was my toaster of a laptop, I created a template with every residential lot and most venues bulldozed, just so I could play without a lot of lag. Thank God I don't have to do that anymore! Yay! ;)
Happy Simming! <3
