What Would You Do If The Accolade Presented Is A Different Color From the One Received?

I'd probably assume I was just mistaken about which award my Sim actually won and would keep it regardless of color... but If I still had the message in the notification wall that told me which it was and it was supposed to be gold according to that then I'd use the cheat to get the right one.

I delete messages most of the time as soon as they popup though, so chances are I'd think it was my mistake.

The log window merely said for Best Song. But, I have a picture of it. Please tell me, what color is this?

There are three colors these trophies come in: Gold, Silver and Bronze (or what looks to be bronze anyway).

As you can see I've kept some of them. But in going back through his actual pictures of his wins, they are all gold.

It's entirely possible that the animation effect in Live mode doesn't have all of the same color options as the actual trophies you get.

You could be correct, but as you can see, the other shades show up and that picture was also taken in Live mode. I think what I may do, is go back and trade in the silver or bronze for gold and just keep two silvers (even though at the end of the Meet & Greet Events, he earned gold) just to differentiate between the categories. The animation for accepting the award and the object you get in inventory and can then display in your Sim's home aren't the same thing. They are two entirely different files being displayed.

So, what I'm saying is that the animation may not include all of the same colors as the object. Have you ever seen anyone accept an award that wasn't gold in color for the little acceptance animation? I can honestly say I don't pay that much attention, so I don't know.
If you have seen other colors in the animation when awards are accepted....then the animations do have other color options. But if you haven't, gold might be the only thing they included animations for.

I also think the problem is probably with the animation always using the gold colour. So the award colour you get in the inventory is your true prize.

Cry, throw a fit, and write a nasty letter to the other award winner who clearly switched awards with you while pretending to admire your golden trophy (that ratfink!). Then get a massage, drink a calming cup of tea and put that award on the shelf. Whatever color it is, it is still a prize.

To answer your question, no I have never seen another Sim receive an Accolade that shows to be any other color than the ones my Sim has earned. They are all gold. I'm confused, If, as you say, the three colors exist in the hidden objects category, why then wouldn't they have three different colors when they are received? I can see them having three different colors for the Events (Meet & Greet) since your Sim has to complete the goals to receive the gold. Sometimes, that isn't so easy. I do know they have different trophies for the Charity Event. (Erik has earned a couple of these, too.) I have no idea what other Events will earn an Accolade, off hand. But there are specific Accolades that are labeled for Meet & Greet in the hidden objects category. Perhaps, the devs should remove the silver and bronze from the Accolades themselves. I've never seen an Oscar in silver or bronze, for instance. You're either the best of the best, which equates the Gold. They don't show the 2nd or 3rd place winners. This is not the Olympics. :open_mouth:
