If I need a cheat, which I typically only use build cheats, I just got to Carl's Sims Guide. Has all the cheats listed and easily copied and pasted.
I also use MCCC which is pretty quick with the skill or career cheats when I'm making families for storytelling purposes. Otherwise when I just play the game I actually don't use any cheats as I like my sims to start with little and learn along the way.
