What's the longest you've ever played with one family?

I get bored of my families quickly and usually move on before I've played them for too long. The longest I've ever played a family is two (almost three) generations. What's the longest you've spent on...

I started playing TS4 in May last year. I still play the first family I made back then, occacionally. I do take breaks to play other saves, and some times those saves take over and I don't play my first family for months.
