As I said in the above post, it was not an official EA survey and at the time of the survey EA had probably already begun work on the SW pack anyway. I'm not saying that EA shouldn't have included SW on a poll before making a SW pack, they just didn't.
EA is a massive and extremely wealthy company. Of course, they (should) know what the Sims 4 player base wants. Even though they didn't conduct the poll themselves, they've conducted many of their own and they knew this wasn't going to be a popular pack--they just don't care (or are wildly incompetent for such a big company). If a random gaming website can predict that this isn't going to be popular, EA should have been more than able to do the same.
EA has a history of changing only after its customers cause a scene. Otherwise, they just push for more money unfortunately (see Sim City and that one Star Wars game with DLC).
I agree with you. I said that they should have asked and that it shows simmers aren't being listened to. I was just pointing out that that particular survey was not conducted by EA because lots of people seem to be assuming that it was. They definitely should have done a poll including SW but they didn't - in fact, it almost makes it worse that they didn't ask. And yes, as much as I am looking forward to this pack, I agree that they should (in fairness) have created a pack that the majority of the fanbase have been asking for instead, like farming for example. I mean, unlike this pack, farming isn't something that I'd get massively excited about myself (although yes I would get it and probably have fun with it) but I can still see that that would have been a more sensible choice.
Anyway, I hope for the sake of everyone who is disappointed that EA are working on highly requested packs such as a winter vacation world (maybe for the next EP?), farming, werewolves etc. In particular werewolves, I would love those!
Sorry, my reply sounded more aggressive than I intended. And as this is coming out regardless of what most players may want, I hope some simmers do enjoy it.
