What's wrong with locked doors?

In my biggest house the family has a live-in Cook. She has access only to a limited part of the buildings. It worked fine when I played this household for a few days.

Now, that I return to this house after playing other households, the Cook is suddenly found all over the building, in rooms where she is not supposed to have access.

Do locked doors unlock while playing other lots??? If so, that is a big disappointment. Having to re-lock doors every time accessing a house will force me to keep a note on what doors shall be locked in which houses... phew... why doesn't my game simply remember those locks?
