@QueenofMyshuno Instead of naming a baby after an ancestor, i suggest you to name them with a gender swapped version of an ancestor name. For example, a Alexander Goth's descendant would be named Alexandra. Why i suggest that? Just to avoid repetition in the short term, I would use Alexander II if i alread had used Alexandra.
You can create "themes" as well. Lets say Bob and Eliza had triplets. The oldest girl to be born was named Zircon, the boy (middle one) was named Zeus and the youngest girl was called Zenobia. all descendents of Zircon would be named after gemstones, Zeus descendents would be named after greek mythology characters and Zenobia's descendents would be named after plants.
Then, Lets say that Zenobia had triplets as well. Willow, Rose and Agaricus. Willow descendents would be named after Trees, Rose descendents after flowers and Agaricus after mushrooms.
Another thing i could add is different cultures mixing with your family.
Lets say Rose married an indian man and had kids. They would be named after flowers, but instead of the USA name for flowers, you would use indian flower names. Gulaab is rose in hindi (if i am correct).
