When do we start culling Sims?

I started a new game lately and am of course using MCCC. I have as much autonomy as possible in my games. The NPCs/townies have been breeding like cockroaches. Mr Rocca has had 10 pregnancies each with a different partner and he has been abducted by aliens a few times each resulting in him becoming pregnant. He is pregnant again with a different townie. Dude stop abusing autonomous try for a baby I can't keep up lol. Raj got married to a townie and has had even more kids than Mr Rocca has. Marcus Flex married J Huntington III and they have had quintuplets. Lilith and Vlad just had triplets. Caleb got abducted by aliens and gave birth to 6 babies. The Goths and Landgraabs have had more kids. Cassandra moved out and married Wolfgang Munch. This to me is very entertaining. I am playing multiple households. My Sim Regina has gotten married to Luna Villareal while I was playing another household and they had 5 babies. Even the Sims who hate kids are having lots of kids. So on and so on. This is really entertaining since I am not used to Sims in my games having so many kids. I don't like removing autonomy either. I feel the more I give them the better. I am wondering if I should start culling households.

I don't want to be a baby culler but plum these sims are going to turn into one >:) lol.

I want to hear baby stories from everyone. What are your baby adventures? Have your townies/NPCs ever gotten out of control with having kids? Feel free to share pics.

  • Dosn’t MCCC have an option to turn culling on and off? I forget but I think it dose so play with that.
  • I was afraid of my sims breeding like rabbits so I was sure to limit the amount of offspring they could manage! It's kept me safe from a sim overload so far.
  • I have MCCC and I'm sometimes overwhelmed by how many babies it causes. I know I can tweak those settings to make it less crazy, but I like to see all the genetics bounce around.
Some sims have abhorrent genetics though. Miko Ojo is the worst imo..... That tiny mouth is a dominant gene for sure. It seems like those uh... unique sims are the ones that MCCC likes to knock up. SoooOOOoooO after they've given birth to a reasonable amount of kids, I tend to start killing culling off the babies (I'm aware I can just flag the sims for no pregnancy, but I'm too lazy sometimes)
What I end up doing is putting all the newborns in one household in manage households (along with some generated townie that looks like a vampire pear) and delete them all. It makes me feel a little guilty but I get over it! :p
