When will the Sims 4 become too taxing for average users pc? 29 packs currently...

I built my gaming rig 3.5 years ago, and I recently switched to the PS4. Both versions seem to have long load times for when I resume a game but otherwise it runs fine. I switched because I know at some point I'd have to build a new gaming rig. Considering this is the only game I've played on the PC for over a year now it doesn't make financial sense to do it again.
