Welp, I voted "they already are" because that's literally where they were in their calendar. They celebrated, it was fun. I expect them to cycle back round to it before the real thing in real life too; I run a long calendar but I think we'll get there no probs. And enjoy it all again! (it's by far and away my favourite holiday!)

I just started decorating my Sim self house even though she will be going skiing for Christmas.

I'll be posting pics of my decor over the weekend.

Well, after finding fully decorated houses on the gallery that put mine to shame, I have some work to do. ;)

Right now mine are on vacation in MT K but I think I will put a christmas cabin on that empty 50x50 lot and make it a rental for the holidays.

I haven't even thought about it -- I've currently been playing a single Sim with his dog in Mt. Komorebi, and doesn't really seem like much of a reason to decorate. I could go back to my family save; I need to get them up to speed on rock climbing anyway (have some gyms that have the Fitness Stuff rock climbing treadmill -- I just noticed that it builds both rock climbing and fitness at the same time) so I can send them on the summit excursion. (It's a family of four, but I'll send the parents and their teen son.)

That's a great idea about the rental on that 50x50 lot -- I'd like to convert at least one of the current rentals to regular residential for my active Sims.

I used to have my sims get ready for the holidays in ts3 all the time. But every time seasons, and thus holidays, are added I just celebrate their holidays when they show up in game. They never seem to sink up properly with real life holidays anyway.

Just got seasons so I just played 28 days of winter and had Christmas and Chanukah celebrations for my sims already - I would make seasons longer if I could tbh so I could line them up more with real world seasons. I already play without aging on and I use mods to make pregnancies long too since I like a slow passage of time in my sims. I do enjoy decorating my main sims house for the holidays - it’s just that 28 sims days feels so short to rearrange my house and fully decorate. Usually I just have the patience to do it for one family

That's so funny as I shorten all my seasons to the shortest amount of time and have the holidays for my Sims be at the same time as RL holidays. It doesn't have to snow for Christmas. I grew up in south Florida and it was always sunny and 80 degrees.
