Where are the storylines, plots, scandals & drama?

I’d like Sims to have more depth in backstories inc. family dynasties, secrets, scandals & interconnecting plots. A more dystopian game where there is capacity for drama, tragedy & anger amongst the h...

There is mild violence and you can murder sims (death by laughing, pufferfish, etc) but the game gives little to no feedback other than some vague moodlets.
