I've had MCCC move them into houses/apartements and I could have sworn they were still sages in the Magic realm. I thought they'd only lose the sage trait if you actively played them? Not only if they lived somewhere. Last spellcaster I played, all 3 sages had homes. Morgyn was replaced after a short while, but Simeon and L. stayed at HQ.
