I don't know how to make him homeless? I have been through the MCC settings categories and have no clue which one to use? Also I have not played him in this flat or as a sim at all but wouldn't I have to click on him to make him homeless? Could you please explain what i need to do so I don't make a mistake when trying..

I am hoping what you said about them being able to live somewhere and still be sages is right if I haven't actively played with the sim but I keep sending my witch to the magic realm and so far he has not turned up there as yet.
