My most planned engagement was on a Vacation in Selvadorada . My sims went into the jungle and on top of the bridge-like structure with the beautiful views got down on one knee. It took a lot of planning and dedication because I only controlled one sim. Several times the other sim wanted to leave for some reason or other, either to use the bathroom or because they were tired and hungry.
From the first time I saw that place I knew I wanted to use that as the perfect place for a proposal.
Do you have any screenshots of this proposal? I've often thought of trying to do exactly this and would love to see them! :)
For my own Sims, they usually just propose and elope on the spot. My most memorable proposal happened a long time ago when my Super Sim Joel Hunter proposed to his girlfriend in Sylvan Glades. These were taken on my old toaster of a laptop, so the quality isn't the best, but anyway...

They got married at home in the backyard. It was the only wedding I've had so far that was actually kinda/sorta a real one. Despite being just the two of them in attendance, they had a wedding arch, dressed up for the occasion, had a cake Joel baked, etc. The whole nine yards. They also had the very first set of twins in my game soon after since she was preggers at the time. <3
