I have two main families
The Allistairs who are extremely rich so I went all out and plonked this massive house in Windenburg
It was fully furnished, and I added extra rooms, changed the kitchen and a few things outside as well. I chucked in a basketball court (wish they could do tennis, would be so fitting). A massive basement that has a library, lounge, servant quarters, disco room, games room and has windows looking into the pool.
They don't need to work, they have over 500k sitting in the bank, butlers, maid and a constant nanny. Up to the 4th generation now.
The Huntington's, my original sim married J Huntington and took his name. the legacy is matriarchal so passes down the girl line. Petra (orginal) scrimped and saved at first in a tiny flat in San Myshuno, met J and I thought cool she'll marry him and they'll be rich and buy a big house. Somehow it got stuffed up and they ended up with just her money and had to save up until they had enough for a house. They're up to generation 4 too. They're the opposite of the Allistairs and are scraping by.
Started off in a huge house that was absolutely empty, in Newcrest.

Gradually through the generations they have slowly furnished it as needed, and built on, at the moment it's a struggle and they've had to sell things off to keep on top of the bills which are upwards of 4k a week! No butlers or nannies for them, although they did once have a maid, can't afford her now.
I love playing family legacies in the same houses.
oops I've prattled on, sorry for the long story!
