Which Category Can I Find the Brigadeira?

You need to have level 2 in cooking skill. It is under the cook option. If you are still having issues finding it, this thread may help

I find it's easier to find specific meals when I sort them alphabetically. That way you know for sure if you scrolled too far down or not. 

I have no clue as to how I can sort them alphabetically. I do watch the names as I scroll. For some odd reason, this one is evading me. Thank you for the advice, though.

Thank you, I will check on the level of cooking my Sim has and if she's good to go, I will definitely, turn off the mods. Should it work, I will come right back here and mark as solution.

GalacticGal if you click on the recipe name it sorts alphabetically.

Sadly, neither of these helped. The Sim doing the cooking was on the way to becoming a level 7 in cooking. I turned off my mods and that didn't help, either. Oh, well, I guess I just need to focus on my game. Thanks. I thought for sure this would have been the solution. 

I had difficulty finding it as well.Googled it to find it was a Brazilian dessert. When  you click the cupcake which is the list for only desserts, it's a much shorter list to navigate.
