When I started playing on my laptop, I played without Island Living, Get Famous, Eco Lifestyle, and the occult gamepacks, Vampires, Werewolves, and Realm of Magic. Those were the ones where I was least likely to miss CAS, Build/Buy, and the worlds. But I found that every time I added a new pack or kit, my game would start downloading some of what I had left out. I didn't uninstall anything, though, so I don't know if you'll have the same problem.
I have to say that I wish EA would quit coming up with new expansion packs. I should develop more sales resistance, but they are always too tempting, lol.
