Which hairstyle suits her better/should I take?

I think I like the second just because it goes with the game, where alpha hair can look out of place. I understand your color issue, though. The small selection of actual in-game hair is super restricting. :/

Wow I didn't expect so many votes for the second hairstyle to be honest. I thought about just going with the second hairstyle for her disguise and the first one for her alien form, I guess this might help. She has to stand out in her alien form after all, so why not with a not so fitting hairstyle? :D

1 compliments her head shape better. Is that a weird sentence? Probably. Oh well. Fyi if you're worried it won't match the game, there is a thing called "clayifying" where people take alpha hairs and paint on the alpha layers which fills in the gaps in the hair, since maxis hair don't really have these gaps in their hair, and then they apply the maxis hair textures over them and they look more suited to the game. So you could search to see if anybody clayified that hair if you want. They usually don't keep the hair colours since the hair colours make the hair look much more realistic in comparison to the regular style of the game, but people do make their own hair colour pallettes that fit the style and texture of the game, WildlyMiniatureSandwich on tumblr has a nice colour pallette of unnatural (and natural) colours.

P.s you will normally have to download both the alpha and the clayified version of a hair even if you just want the clayified version because usually people don't want you to just reupload their stuff with only new textures, so instead they make it so that if you want to retexture their hair you have to make it so your retexture requires people to download both your retexture and the original alpha hair.

I voted for #1 because it flows with her color scheme more and purple is best color lol but seriously she is gorgeous!

@Purrdalecki Do you have a link for the clayified hair there? I tried google, but couldn't find the clayified version, just a bunch of alpha retextures. Nevermind. I finally found it! :)

I do like maxis match better but to me the second one just makes her look right. The shape... everything.

Alpha hair looks fine on its own, but in game maxis-match will always look better, imo. Alpha hair stands out too much, especially if any other Sim around has maxis match instead.

@Purrdalecki Looking for a clayified version of an alpha hairstyle is actually one of the first things I do before downloading them, but unfortunately I couldn't find one for this particular hairstyle :(

However, I found a purple swatch for a base game hairstyle which looks quite similar:
