- allthemore44Seasoned NewcomerIt used to be young adult, but I'm liking what they've done with teens. i also use the Preteen Mod, which is great.
- LaunchSneezesSeasoned VeteranI like the adult stage of my own life more than the young adult stage, personally, as young adulthood is full of embarrassing mistakes and near disasters, and I am happy being settled down now, but for my game it's fun to kind of have my sims live the life of a young adult where - if a friend asked you to go somewhere, you went, even spur of the moment trips to different states for the weekend; if there was a party, you were down; if there was a chance to hook up, there was a good chance you would do it. Could someone possibly die? Ok, let's do it! (Young adult mentality.) Would your boyfriend be mad? Hm, maybe, butttt....all your friends and your family hated him anyway. It is just this time of life where it feels like nothing matters and life will never end and nothing bad will ever happen. That's the way I like to play my game. I'm glad I got to experience that in my twenties. Would not do it again now lol, but I wouldn't change the past.
- ChungytoonNew SpectatorYoung adults are unsurprisingly my go-to for any playthrough, but I really like what they did for toddlers in TS4. They just have more freedom than in the previous games and are just walking, immortal creatures of destruction that not even werewolves can mess with.
- Kimmer_oneRising TravelerI love all of them, except babies, but I love playing adults the most. Toddlers are my second favorites.
Adults have usually mastered their careers and several skills and I can concentrate on other things in their life. Toddlers are just simply funny and cute and I especially love their temper tantrums. :D - atreya33Seasoned VeteranIt's a tie between toddlers and young adults for me. I didn't want to play sims 4 before toddlers were patched in so they get my vote. I like how cute they are. Infants are cute too but they require much more care, very realistic but time consuming.
I often play young adults mainly because they have most to do. Sims 4 is mainly designed as a young adult simulator, after all. Just look at the redisigned Sims 4 cover, updated around 2018. Only young adults are shown, all other age groups were removed from the cover. Adults, elders and to some extent teens are so similar to young adults that they are practically the same to me. - mcruddSeasoned AdventurerI am loving the infant stage <3 Achieving all the milestones and the gameplay is just so much fun. I especially enjoy it more since realizing that a parent is not needed as much through the infant stage as I thought ;)SpoilerTheir little poses for the camera is so cute too <3

All the younger years are spent shaping them into the young adult I want them to be.
And then their life is spent shaping the next generation of young adults. - BurnziieSeasoned NoviceI preferred elder and teen Sims when they had radically different motive decay speeds in TS2 and had unique voices entirely, made for fun times having teens staying up for 30+ hours, and Elders needing to sit down every other hour.
In general aging was always off in my saves though, so I have no real desire to tend to new generations, and instead focus on the adult's working on their jobs or life. - alanmichael1Seasoned HotshotThe result of this survey is deeply surprising. Years and years of complaining about object babies, missing toddlers, preteens, elders, families, families, families and then this. I guess Maxis was just right with their concept in 2014. The game could be much better today had they just focused on things to do for young adults & everyone else instead of wasting so much resources on child-related familiy dynamic which only results in Sims with 30 traits and a collection of icons.
- NateWhiplashSeasoned VanguardThe majority of my sims are young adults, and I would be too if I could lol
