Which lots spawn vendors for (food) stalls?

Parks you have to hire the vendors, I know that much - unless they are on the offlot parts. Might depend on the stall, but I always add the drink stall to my park, and I always have to hire the vendor.

I know it is possible to hire a vendor but I am hoping there is some lot type that spawns them on their own. Just like some community lots spawn bar keepers and some don't.

That is a very good question, and according to my web research there is only one lot type with food stall vendors: the market place variant of the Eco Living community space.

Any variant of it spawns food stall vendor in my game.

There's a food stall not on but near one of my lots where one of my families lives. I often see the vendor run past their house on his way to his stall. This is in Newcrest, funnily enough.

This is correct! Any of the 4 Subtypes will spawn up to 2 stall vendors, included in this is the Boba Tea Counter and the University Buffet vendor, if you want to set up a "cafe" or something like that.

In my Willow Creek, I have a separate simple park with no vendors but I also have a large Center Park that is actually the Community Center. Because it's in its own "neighborhood" (Magnolia Park has no adjoining properties), it can never be any other kind of lot subtype--not a Community Garden, Marketplace, or Maker Space. However, it still triggers all the same behaviors as both a park AND a community center AND any subtypes---kids show up to play in the playground, the marketplace tables fill up, two food stalls get vendors, and people fish and garden.

From all I know, only the Community Space and its subtypes (Community Garden, Market, Maker Space).

What will spawn vendors: almost any other market stall, including the Fish of the Day from Cats and Dogs, the debug produce stall from City Living, and the Florist from MWS.

I remember someone said they did spawn, just not nearly every time. Not in my game tho, and I overuse the EL lot type. No voting in mine, all are sort of "all in one" versions.

@KestrelDC is talking about stalls in neighborhood terrain (not on a lot) which do always spawn vendors.

I have had trouble getting vendors to spawn in community spaces when there are already stalls with vendors in the neighborhood terrain. I'm not sure if it runs up against the total sim count allowed in the area at one time, or if there's a cap on total vendors at one time, or what. This was in San Myshuno.
