Which settings to make underwater objects less blurry?

So I just bought a new computer so I could finally play the Sims with higher graphic settings (my old one was ancient and weak). But now everything I see under water looks really blurry, like doubled.

Which settings are you guys playing with when going to Sulani?

These are my settings right now:

Hmm I have the same video card (set to ultra settings with all but laptop mode checked) and haven’t really noticed this. I have been playing often and feel like I would have seen this because it would bother me too. I’d check but I’m away from my desktop till late next week.

I’d tell you to turn your settings all the way up but since you didn’t see this on your older laptop I don’t know if that would help. I think it is the ripple effect but it seems worse on your game than I’ve personally noticed. Hmmm I wish I knew more about tech so I could help more. I can’t think of a good solution other than turning your settings all up and seeing if it makes a difference, you should be able to play on ultra with that card anyway. Good luck wish I had better advice.
  • Maybe it's the monitor? I bought a gaming monitor with 144 Hz. I might replace it as the light colour is way too cool for me, and too bright, even with adjusted settings.

I just saw a screenshot by @mcrudd in another post of a mermaid in water, and the outline of her arms looked just like what I'm observing, though. So maybe it's just a nuance between different monitors, but the effect is the same.

And yeah, higher settings don't make it better, they actually make it worse ^^ Lower settings soften everything.

I have the same issue, only in the water. I have the Nvidia GTX 1060 3G card and as I have healed Sulani about half way now, I noticed this blurry doubling effect in the water too. Not only with coral and fish but around Sims who are in the water swimming as well. Once I am playing on land though the images become sharp and crisp again. I think it must be a bug in their graphics for the water.

My graphics are pretty pixelated when swimming in the water (underwater graphics). Taking screenshots is fine, it'll be gone then. I truly believe that's some kind of bug, which I hope they fix. Because it's not appetizing to look at.
