- SimsBarbieNew SpectatorI like them all though :)
- keekee53Seasoned NewcomerYoung adult is where they are vacationing, getting married, exploring the dating options, partying at the clubs and bars, getting to the top of the careers, establishing friendships, etc. More entertaining for me.
Adults is where they are settling down and starting the next generation. "Anthonydyer;c-16825189" wrote:
Teens are much better, but they are stuck at school from 8 to 3 and there is no way out of it.
I have a mod that gives them shorter school hours, but I'm not sure if it will still work after the upcoming patch. Then I take my teens in groups to a high school I made, so it's like I can see them at school.- keekee53Seasoned Newcomer

But if you wait till adult stage to start a family, won't the parents die before the child reaches young adult stage?
nope because aging is on long  - I like YA because there's so much untapped potential in 'em.
- Young adults always have the most fun
- Young Adult > Adult > Teen > Child > Toddler > Elder
In my opinion, elders are the most boring life stage... they always have been. Especially in Sims 4... I mean, I get the realism, but it's highly annoying how they can't do too many things without becoming "dangerously tired". Honestly, when my Sim becomes an elder, I stop wanting to play them. So I move onto the next generation immediately.
Edit: I also think a lot of people generally enjoy playing the life stage they are in real life... when I was a teenager, I always loved playing teens. Probably because I could relate to them more. - I've always liked playing the younger life stages (minus toddlers) in every game, children the most though! They're adorable, and I loved it when they could play kids games together (tag, hopscotch) in the past. I'm also a family player and found the founders kids to be more interesting to control once I have personalities for them.
In order, my favorite stages are
Child >Young Adult/Adults > Teen > Toddlers > Elders - LuckylunayreNew SpectatorTeen normally but they just aren't anything special in 4.
- GrumpyGlowfishSeasoned NewcomerFavourite: Young adults. They can do more than younger life stages, look better than adults, and are less restricted than elders.
Least favourite: Toddlers. They may be less annoying and more self-sufficient than in previous Sims games, but still very limited in what they can do, so once they've learned the skills I want them to learn, I usually age them up.
Special mention: Children. I just love how well thought-out they are this time around, coming with their own skills and aspirations and always having something to do, especially with Parenthood installed.
