- It's a tie between Island Living, Get Famous, and Get to Work for me. I'm sure each expansion had their pros and cons, but there were some that I don't play with much.
Island Living: Was a bland expansion that felt more like a game pack. The mermaids felt like an afterthought, and they could have brought back resorts and some nice CAS items from TS3 Island Paradise. Oh well... I had been excited for this pack when I saw the trailer. It's like when an advertisement makes a product look good, but when you try it, it doesn't reach your expectations. As for Sulani, it's style over substance, and you can't swim in oceans from other worlds. Didn't EA say that one time? They should at least be honest with us.
Get Famous: The fame system was still broken, and I'm not sure if the acting career would still work. Hadn't tried that career in quite some time - oh, and let's not forget the fact that sims react to famous family members, and unless you have MCCC, you can't introduce your sims to the famous relative the normal way. Del Sol Valley feels cramped, and you can't even access the ocean or the houses by the water. Also, the apartment feature should have been reused for this world. That's a missed opportunity.
Get to Work: I don't play with the career much, except for storytelling purposes. It was a missed opportunity to add some careers that we've enjoyed in Sims 3 Ambitions. Those careers were buggy and repetitive. The addition of aliens was pointless, as I often forget that they were there. - LiELF6 years agoLegend

I put Cats and Dogs because I have it on PS4 and was glad I never bought it for PC. but I wish I could change my vote to Get Famous, because it really is only worth one play-through, and the people fainting and nothing being able to be done anywhere in any world due to celebrities, does get old. But there are mods to keep celebrities from spoiling every social event by crashing it, at least.
I've found that Spellcasters come in very handy when there are unwanted celebrities around. Plus, there's an unapologetic joy in setting them afire when they disrupt gameplay. >:) - atreya336 years agoLegendGet famous is the 'winner' loud and clear. I have no interest at all in fame, celebrities irritate me when they show up, I don't use the streaming equipment and the world is the only world I avoid actively ingame.
Runner ups are cats and dogs and city living. I rarely play sims with pets but I for cats and dogs, the world makes up a lot. And even if my sims don't live in the city, it is a nice place for them to visit on a night out.
The other packs I own are essential for my game: get to work for the aliens and science career, get together for the fantastic world and clubs, seasons for the realism of the weather and the holidays. I only recently tried discover University but I think it belongs with the packs I really enjoy for both the university experience and the world.
Island living is the only one missing from my collection. - Island Living gets boring very quickly. Get to Work is a close second; I rarely use it, but at least when I do it's interesting and fun to play.
- It was a tie between Get to Work and Cat and Dogs for me (caveat, I don't have Island Living and Get Famous).
I just never actually find myself playing with pets, that being said, Brindleton Bay is probably my main world. Not been testing long enough to hit the bugs & such that made for all the past uproars, but so far the game has been DGDC - dark, gloomy, dreary, cold. Including in summer! Last day of spring (corresponding to late May early June) and it was snowing! That doesn't happen even in New England. I hate to think of what it will be like once the officially cold weather hits.
- Lemon4056 years agoRising HotshotDU, it doesn’t work properly, isn’t worth the effort even if it did, and added almost nothing worth mentioning to the rest of the game for those of us not interested in watching lobster and spoiled food pile up while our Sim stands in front of the rabbit hole it should have disappeared into.
- it just feels like one of those packs with many good ideas but none carried out perfectly and the world is also pretty random so i hardly use it
like sure i use b/b and cas loads but in gameplay i hardly use it - MrGiggleTickle6 years agoSeasoned NewcomerIsland Living. You get beach and mermaids.....Whoopie!
