A child in a routinely negative environment will be removed, yes. You cannot use The Sims as a child abuse simulator and I am fine with that.
If this was reality you would have a valid point! But this is a simulation of reality. Sims are not abusive towards each other if you dont force them to be so. In this case it is the daughter who forces a conflict and don't accept her stepmother as a caretaker, I could as a player have done it the other way around and let the stepmother be the one who started the argument. What hte father thinks is neither here or there. The question in this case if a child can have a bad relationship with a parent and remain in the household
