When you say top of her grades, are you talking the performance meter or was she actually an A student? Even with a maxed out performance meter, she's still a failing student until she goes to school and levels up. And it would take at least 4 school days for her to go from F to A.

I mean, it could still be a glitch, because as I and others have said we've seen situations where the kid had a bad relationship with their parent(s) and still were just fine as long as their needs and grades were seen to. So the cause is almost certainly either the grades or the poor needs or both. Or it was a glitch and something hadn't been cleared from a previous check.
