I like it better the way it is now with Parenthood, a citywide curfew is weird and not all parents set the same curfew for their kids (my vampire family had no curfew).
I think it's more realistic that responsibility goes down and the parents discipline their kids for breaking the curfew, I loved that!
And I am looking forward to doing that when I get some kids in my households again.
