I remember how exciting yet sad when my sim was playing his guitar on the steps of City Hall in sims 3, there was a huge crowd watching him, I did not notice that a large meteor was ready to hit, and hit it did. I was totally shocked, as many families in the town died, the Grim Reaper one, by one took the families some husbands and wife, some just the husband or wife, It was about ten in all, the family members came running and everyone was crying, I had never seen anything like it. My Sim died too. but I did not save and it made for the next adventure in the game. I was sad that he died but let it be. You do not see things like this anymore in the Sims 4, Everything is in la la land. No hardships, no little disturbance, all is well, but I would like to see the unexpected happen once in a while.
