Who remembers your sim trimming the garden hedge?

Yes, I remember TS2 you had to do the gardening and tell the sims to make the bed. I preferred it that way. I also don’t like that everyone immediately wants to clean their plate after eating.

Now that we’re talking about it, I wonder if I can find some mods to stop them from auto bed making and plate cleaning.

Bed making in sims 4 is a part of the waking up interaction so i think it's semi impossible for someone to create a mod for that.

Lol, I remember that mess very well. If you didn't water and trim your sim's plants died and looked terrible. My sims would work all day transporting dead plants to the trash. On second thought, I hope they don't bring that back. :D

I recall how I had the children help their parents pull the weeds out of the garden, and how they could spring up all on their own, unless you were quite diligent. I also miss the manual removal of said weeds. Seasons gave our Sims some high-faluting gizmo, Kinda wreaks the illusion of being in the 18th century. Plus, it was a good exercise for my Sim who just gave birth. Kept her trim, in fact.

I noticed in TS4 wild plants do seem to spread these days. More and more often I come across a set of 2 plants of same specie. I think I noticed this on some lots, as well. My theory is that when a plant's season ends, if there are flowers/fruit it falls to the ground, and probably there is a small chance those do actually grow into a new plant. Or maybe NPCs do plant them? I never saw them doing so, though. Also, the Easter Bunny do leave some flowers, right? Wonder if they might root, as well...

Just because I didn't notice this long ago, it might have been around for ever. I like the idea of plants spreading a bit, eve if it looks a bit weird when there are pairs of them in the wild - always the same distance between the two plants. I wonder if some of those groups will grow next season :)

I remember I created a cc reminder pot that would swing up a sign to remind me watering plants the day before they would die. I think they all followed the same cycle. I placed that sign-pot near the entrance, easy to see :)

I've never played the previous TS games, but i often wonder why TS4 doesn't have sims do the usual chores like dusting, polishing, cleaning ordinary things, going outside trimming the grass with a manual/electric/petrol mower, cleaning up the yard, spraying weeds, tending to garden objects like plants and indoor plants, removing spider webs in the upper corners of the house and on the ceiling, especially around the lights. cleaning the stoves, oven and walls in the kitchen, not to mention the fridge of dead insects and general dirt build up from hands opening and closing the door. then there is oiling of the door hinges, sink taps, bathtub taps and window hinges. Cleaning inside the house with a hoover, using sprays to kill dustmites and germs on sofas. pull up all the bed covers and pillow cases, washing and hanging them out to dry or putting them on radiators (which for some reason this game doesn't have and should).

List is endless, i'd love to see these things in the game, it would be especially noticable between slob vs. ordinary vs. neat sims, and it would punish players for having more dirter sims and lazy sims more, as it should be honestly. When was the last time you saw a work shy, lazy sim do anything around the house that wasn't a benefit to them? they'd sooner leave it until it has to be done.

I still play the sims 2 and I saw a sim clean the window, it wasn't something I could tell them to do it was something they did automatically now and again. They do have to do alot of gardening trim the bushes, water the flowers and even pull weeds I had forgotten that they could do that when I started playing sims 2 again.

oh and if you planted vegetables/fruits the sims have to water, weed, and spray for bugs and the plants can get sickly and if you don't give them the attention they needed they just got even sicker till they die.

It has nothing to do with house chores but I saw my sims run to the windows when it started snowing or raining.

yeah i miss my maids and gardeners actually having purpose :c and staying on the lot for longer it was fun watching them do chores :c
