I thought about holding the wedding just after my Sims completed their Winterfest Celebrations, but then found that the family members I had invited to hang-out had mostly left. So, once Winterfest was officially over, I set up the Wedding Event. Knowing what I had originally planned, however, I had the would-be sister-in-law bake a tiered cake. Or at least I tried to. Couldn't find the standard tier cake to save my life. So, I compromised. I decided, since the option was open, to have her bake the White & Black cake. She finished it, and I slid it onto the draped table on the back patio, where the wedding is all set-up. I got it right in the center of the table, and had her place the wedding topper. Should have been safe. At least, nobody would be able to eat it. I didn't count on somebody stealing the whole thing! The wedding is set for 10 AM, it's just after 5 AM (thank goodness for the make happy cheat) and when I saw Erik's Stan on the patio, I zoomed in and also noticed the cake was missing! There's not even a portion of it remaining and NO PLATE. It's as if Tamela never baked it. Face/palmWindenburg, why don't you have a police department? I'd like to report a stolen wedding cake. You know how expensive those things are, too.What truly weird events have occurred in your game? Please share those and/or your thoughts on this mishap. LOL

Wow not just a slice but a whole wedding cake?? I would look around for a chubby sim with icing around their mouth. Another reason our sims should be able to report a crime.Truly weird event .... I once had a sim leave for work during their wedding , was so annoying after spending so much time setting everything up.

@GalacticGal You'll need to assign a guard on the cake. :D I've had similar, not stolen. But someone who was cleaning up, nonchalantly throws the cake in the garbage and washed the dish, heh!

Dang sims...can't trust 'em. That's why they end up in pools with walls, or saunas, locked in an empty room, left out in the cold/hot or under a bed. XD Nothing really of real consequence lately except for me wanting to kill Don for not liking my sim yet has the absolute balls to invite her out on a date. She said 'no thanks' to him and preceded to hack into his funds while taking a moment or 3 to have woo-woo's with the entire house and help defeat Mother. (May bring her back. she kind of liked my self sim. heh)

My Sims usually elope, but I've had one couple get married in their backyard, just the Bride & Groom in attendance, no guests or anything. But they did have a wedding arch, formal attire, a cake the Groom baked. etc. The Bride was VERY pregnant and gave birth to my first set of twins the next day. Anyway, I clicked on the arch to get the ceremony going with both of them standing near it and the Bride immediately ran away inside the house and the 'Get Married' action fell out of both their queues. What the!? The Groom ran after her, but stopped at the bottom of the stairs and just stood there.I found the Bride in the bathroom, staring at herself in a mirror and then she smiled, looked toward the ceiling and said something. Maybe something like, "Okay, it'll be fine, you can do this. Come on, you love him!"I tried again, clicking on the arch and they got married without a hitch that time. I was confused as to why she ran away for awhile until I figured out later she had went to throw up when I saw the stinky green, fly infested toilet. lolI've only had one other Wedding in my game, which was actually last night, a goaled event, my first 'real' one in TS4, again held in the backyard of my couple's home. Only problem was I scheduled it on Rebate Day which is apparently a holiday so there was no list of goals for my couple to complete. That was a huge bummer since this is my try at the Trailer Park Challenge and the couple is extremely poor. They were counting on gifts, dang it! That's not the weird part though. Right after the ceremony finished and they'd given each other a bite of the wedding cake, which ironically was again baked by the Groom, the Groom ran off toward the front yard. I found him 'viewing' their pink Flamingo. LOL Also, later on after the event was over, the Bride & Groom retired to have a little Wedding night Woo Hoo, but one of their guests was still there. SimGuruNinja nonchalantly waltzed into their bedroom, totally ignored the 'action' going on and sat down to play video games on their desktop computer next to the bed. o.OThe couple fell asleep afterward, Ninja kept playing for awhile and then left saying, "I really should be going now." Sheesh! Ya think? EDIT: Oh! Just remembered something else. I tell ya, SimGuruNinja's Sim is really weird. I had everyone in a group so they'd do things together during the Wedding/Reception after. So after the couple had cut the cake, fed each other a bite, etc., I had the Bride click on it to, "Take a piece together." Everyone did, except him. He ran away inside the trailer. I followed him to see what he was doing. He took a bowl of garden salad out of the fridge and sat down at their dining room table to eat that instead. Hmm, maybe he just doesn't like sweets? lol

Laughing so hard my cheeks ache. That's great! That certainly would explain the total disappearance of the cake, plate and all. Once candles or a wedding topper are in place Sims don't generally touch it. Leave it to ole Rocky Raccoon. You just made my day. :)

Yes, I did so. That's why I was wondering just what became of the cake! I've had far too many cakes cut into before the Event, that I have learned to pause the game and queue up to either have the candles placed or the topper for a wedding. This is the first time I've ever 'lost' the entire cake, plate and all, as if it was never there. LOL Weirdness abounds.

Yes, I am aware that's something they can do, if let inside. I don't recall just when I locked the front gate, however. It's not like it was my celebrity's wedding or anything. It was his sister's wedding. LOL Well, I suppose once the cake becomes petrified, it might be sold. :open_mouth:

In an much earlier incarnation of this family, Erik's Stan decided to light the outside fireplace. Sadly, it was to his demise.

Are you aware that Stans love stealing your Sim's belongings? They have to be invited in to steal something from inside the house but they might steal things left outside.

I'm fairly certain it must have been your celebrity's Stan.
