I personally never really cared for auto roofing in the other games. The roofs always turned out looking worse for me when using it. However I can understand how there is a need for it. Oddly-shaped houses aren't fun to roof. Lickily, I haven't built too many houses with weird shapes, usually just a few diagonals here and there. I wouldn't use the auto roof feature but who am I to deny someone else the option?
