The only time I've had a Sim suddenly rush outside was to look at the lights (as in from a U.F.O. hovering overhead).
That's what I thought my Sim teen was doing, at first. Now, I wish I hadn't cancelled the action. I'm going to be wondering forever what she just had to say to a perfect stranger."ManakoHime;c-16810394" wrote:
A few days ago a sim FINALLY said no to a proposal!!! Every time I had a sim propose to another, they have always said yes even if they have commitment issues. I can tell you all now I screamed for joy when I saw her shake her head! She was in a happy mood, loved the guy and had no commitment issues lol
@ManakoHime I remember that happened to me for the first time soon after the game was released. My Sim proposed to his girlfriend, she said no and then he died of embarrassment! At the time I didn't know that was even possible so I was very confused :D
Anyway, the other day I had a Sim die of anger for the first time after getting in a fight with a Sim she didn't like. Then it happened to another Sim yesterday after she caught her husband cheating on her!- GalacticGalSeasoned AceI did research the game prior to pre-ordering it. Emotional deaths were talked about. While I found it slightly concerning, it is possible in reality to laugh oneself to death, in the form of a resulting heart-attack. I don't like how softened this game has become over the past two iterations. Very little can actually threaten the life of a Sim.
I have yet to lose a single Sim from an emotional death. I have to admit, should it happen I may not like it much, depending on who and when it strikes, but I also don't like how Sims can't be killed after being struck by lightning. It should be more of a percentage thing. Not everyone in RL who gets struck by lightning will die, but then some do. - AquaGamer1212New Spectator

Based on your posts here on the forum I don’t think you will. Mine happened because she was denied from a proposal twice. She left behind two kids :(. Totally exited without saving. - GalacticGalSeasoned Ace

You're probably correct in your assessment. But, I do like the challenge of keeping my Sims alive. There's a certain edginess added to the game when you know your precious Sims are at risk. ;) "GalacticGal;c-16814539" wrote:

After it happened with my girl, I then spent the next few games getting her ghost reinvited into the family before sending her to a public lot with a wishing well on it. It was the easiest way to get her back.- AquaGamer1212New Spectator

You just reminded me that I completely forgot about old packs once new ones come out. I think there’s a lot in my save with the wishing well but I haven’t used it in years. - GalacticGalSeasoned AceThank you for responding. I have seen that 'near miss' moodlet. :)
- Its funny at first, until it starts becoming annoying, sims all-over fall constantly.
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceHey, I am convinced we just get older, but as people (or in this case Sims) we don't really change all that much. ;)
