Why are infants and toddlers nearly impossible to take care of?

I find infants and toddlers difficult to enjoy to play with because they are too annoying, everytime an infant or toddler Sim cries for attention the adult Sims have to cancel literally everything els...

I had a house with 2 babies and 4 toddlers once, and I had to make their parents spend most of their time taking care of them. I hired a nanny and still had to spend most of their time caring for them!
