Why can't sims make beds anymore?

Yeah, I agree. We have had bed making since the original game; this new "swoop" thing is not to my liking at all.
It's the details of the Sims' behavior that makes me, the player, get so engrossed, engaged, lost in it, however you want to put it; which is one of the many measures that I use to determine how good a Sims game is.
When there is this "thing" out there, that jars my senses, and pulls me out of that "lost place" and back into "reality", that makes me then think, "do I quit or keep playing?" I would think the developers would want to make as few of those "reality" places as possible. The longer the player is lost in the game, the better it is. The better it is, the more content I'm willing to spend on my Sims that keep me so entertained and are so fun to play.
That's how I look at the little details anyway.
