Why do people get so angry about new Sims 4 content?

I'm part of several Sims 4 groups besides this forum and whenever some new DLC is announced a lot of people get really angry and behave like they're being personally attacked and what not, i.e. if sai...

I believe you. I only come here from time to time. I generally avoid other groups/forums. I’ve seen how much of a cesspool it’s become and I rather avoid it all together.
