I am still learning and already made some MOO oopsies in some uploads, but one really good advice I got was to save the finished lot to my library, then turn off cheats (or even the game completely), and then place the lot from the library on a new lot. When doing this you can see the price difference on the saved lot in the library, and the lot you just placed, and then walk through and see what is missing, and fit it back in (now with moo off). Re-save/overwrite in library, repeat the proces until nothing is missing, and then move a family in to the house to test if everything is interactionable (still moo off). This way you're sure your lots are playable.
