That's the same as my game! I found them in 6 of my community lots, 4 in lounges and 2 in bars. Always in a dark, out of the way corner just like what you said. hmm... Makes me wonder if I just don't notice when sims use them autonomously...with them being in semi-private out of the way areas, I guess I could just miss it.
It only really came to my attention because in the dorm I was playing I had one in a very public, active area and they literally never, ever use it on the dorm lot. But with how sim AI is effected by lot type, it could just be a dorm thing. Which honestly is a shame, because using them in a dorm seems more fitting than anywhere else to me...I saw .. uhhh...bubble machine...varieties irl in my dorm than I had never seen before or since. :lol:
