for me, i neither love or dislike CL.
likes:
-not having a "real" elevator. the elevators in TS3 were really annoying. not realistic to spend 1 to 2 hours getting to your desired floor. and heaven forbid if when the elevator arrives, a bunch of sims get in and there's not enough room for you, making you wait for the next elevator.
-karioke. the karioke bars are probably my favorite place to hang out and have fun.
-the traits that venues have, which can be used in your home.
-the spice festival. a new variety of foods and learning to use chopsticks. would have been nice tho if the time was more realistic. don't festivals usually last all day? disappointing that i have to take a vacation day, because a festival is only available during my work hours.
-the colorful clothing and unique styles. nice to have more options, including hairstyles and accessories.
-beautiful views of the city from your apartment window.
dislikes:
-noisy neighbors.
-apartments with negative traits that are too extreme in the frequency of problems cropping up.
-no empty lots to build on and the inability to edit your apartment in build mode. realistically though, when was i ever allowed to make major renovations to an apartment that i was renting? lol it would be nice to be able to build your own apartments on empty lots and be the landlord.
-to progress towards a reward trait, having to give your apartment key to somebody. who then barges in when you are involved in a romantic moment with that special someone. or comes over while you are at work and leaves a mess.
-stopping what you are doing to look at the toilet or the thing you smoke from (forget what it is called lol) in wondering "what's that?" i can see doing it once. but over and over and over? lol gets annoying.
in summary, i did CL for awhile, living in the various apartments to experience what living in them would be like. for me, i guess i'm an ole country boy cuz i'm not all that crazy about living in an apartment. i do like going to the karioke bars and the spice festival. the rest of it i can take it or leave it.
