Why does game not give §20000 to new household?

I saved a household top library, because of the old Santa glitch I had to start a new save, and transfer the household and their lot.

But when creating the new household and grabbing the 3 sims from my library, it's getting impossible to place then on any lot in the new save. CAS "deported" them with the cash balance of only §1380. Probably after the ECO bills adjustment, no lot is that cheap, they can't even rent a mini flat in the city.

Why on earth did the game think it was a good idea to send them off with this little money? I understand the household I uploaded only got their cash and not the value of their house, but CAS should know of the game's lot policies and that no lot coms that cheap.

Is there any way to raise the cash balance of already uploaded households? As they don't get to a lot I can't use the regular money cheat. In this case I can cheat the original household and re-upload them from the corrupted save. But I might have older households in my library that seems to be impossible to play.

  • Use the FreeRealEstate On cheat. Or - can move them in with someone else temporarily. Did not even now Sims created in CAS were no longer getting enough starting funds.
  • Like @AprilDawn said, use FreeRealEstate On to move them into a house. You can use the Money cheat after they move in to adjust the amount they start with, if you think they should have either more or less than $1380.
  • One thing you can do is play a different household that's in world, take them to visit the lot next to where you want your household to live then click on that lot and choose "move in household from library" or whatever it's called. I use that method all of the time.

Yeah but OP's problem is that they don't have enough money to even buy a bare lot to move into. Therefore, they can't use the Moneylode cheat.

Ah, I had forgotten about that cheat. Never used it in the past because even a poor household normally could buy a very small lot temporarily, for cheating them some money. Will remember this one for later. I have a feeling that lots have become more expensive, might have to do with the new bills system...

Create a new household in cas so it generates a sim. That sim comes with $20000. Select to add a sim and merge your 3 sim household with the generated sim. Then delete the generated sim. You should then have your 3 and the started $20000

Thanks, yeah I ended up merging instead of replacing in CAS, and it helped :)

This household could not even be merged with an existing in game household. I did that many times in the past, because then I could just split the household and also split cash as wanted. I will keep an eye on the merge function because I'd not be happy if it's gone for good. The "manage households" tool is indeed handy, but it's a lot more clicking.
