It’s unfortunate, but traits are pretty meaningless in this game. Sims behave according to their emotions and since this are rather easily manipulated they all tend to behave the same way. The only thing that makes the game playable for me are the Slice of Life and Meaningful Stories mod. Were it not for them id probably be okay TS3 and 2 exclusively.
