I didn't have time to read the whole thing but I agree that I don't want farming, it wouldn't really work with the sims 4 and what would even be new? You can already plant and grow food and make your own farm from that but barely anyone bothers.
I feel like if they made farm animals they would probably just be objects aswell like babies and bees which would just be lame, so basically it would be a pack of horses (reskinned from the university bike probably) and object animals with build-buy items that looks like recolored cats and dogs items. Woopee! No thanks.
If people want to play a farming game then go play a farming game, I don't really see it working with the sims but thats just my two cents
