why I think adding a hot tub to base game was a good thing

After the hate towards MFPS, they should've given it for free. Its the only pack i think that should be released to the base game through a free update. It wasn't fair to us, holding objects from the C&D EP to sell later.
And, for those who have It already, they could give a credit for them to use in another SP.

I'm so bent out of shape with this whole issue. Not just cuz of the hot tub alone cuz I've seen the devs recycling objects from other packs quite a lot of times and it's just not fair and sometimes kinda lazy especially if they put a CAS object from another pack to a new one with just different swatches. Like what the heck is that.

And you can't just say, "Oh but you got what you paid for". Would you be okay if you already bought seasons and then they add simpler weather stuff like rain and snow and some basic CAS to suit the weather into the base game and now maybe the only things left in the Season pack is the calendar and maybe some of the other CAS? Doesn't that devalue the pack?

Nope, I got what I paid for, I thoroughly enjoyed it and got my monies worth.

Good for you but it still doesn't justify them recycling items instead of making new ones.

It makes me hopeful that stuff packs will get phased out and we will get more unique and actually new game play options with the bigger packs.
